'Friday Night’ is an artwork in a series that I’ve been painting concerning beauty in the urban environment. I’ve painted a bokeh effect in this cityscape artwork, the term comes from the Japanese word boke which means ‘blur’ or ‘haze’. Although the bokeh effect is primarily a photographic technique I’ve replicated it here to accentuate the distorting and abstracting effect it has on the sources of light.
This artwork has a charcoal stained Tasmanian oak shadow frame with the framed dimensions of 64cm (w) x 64cm (h) x 5.5cm (d).
