This is an abstract diptych painting composed of two panels that create a harmonious visual flow when placed side by side. The artwork features a dynamic mix of colours, primarily warm earth tones such as browns, ochres, and rust, balanced with cooler shades of white, cream, and light grey. The brushstrokes (or shapes created with special palette knife/ scraper) are fragmented and layered, resembling shards or mosaic-like pieces, creating a sense of texture and depth.
The composition feels organic and fluid, evoking a sense of movement and dispersion. The soft blending of lighter tones in the background contrasts beautifully with the darker, more saturated colours, making the painting feel both vibrant and calming. This artwork would work wonderfully in a contemporary or minimalist space, adding warmth and sophistication.
This listing is for a diptych. Each piece measures 91x122x4 cm. They can be hung next to each other or separated—for example, along the stairway or a long wall, on each side of the door, or on different panels. They also can be displayed horizontally or vertically. I believe this flexibility is an incredible advantage. There is a separate listing for these paintings for a vertical display.
It is signed on the front with the initials, on the back is my full name, the name of the painting and the year it was created. The edges are painted light shadow grey. They can be hung as is, framing is optional. It's varnished and ready to be displayed for years to come.
