Relatively new to the Blue Thumb scene , based in the Hunter Valley Region.
Stephen a proud father of three girls 10 and two 2 year old twins. Working a full time job and creating art part time.
When the time allows he study’s his subjects before carefully putting together his work ,as he prefers not to not rush a painting as an artist with a keen eye for detail and with persistence he seeks in creating highly detailed artworks.
Originally as he began with art he was solely using coloured pencils and pastels and finding success with this medium with wildlife as his subject having his work featured in and on the front cover of Australian Artist magazine and an article in International Artist Magazine , his work has been seen and sold to buyers all over the world and which it continues to grow in popularity.
As a portrait artist and then focusing on wildlife putting the pencils down he made the transition over to painting using acrylics.
Overtime he has evolved with different methods and style and has now been able to take vision and turn a white canvas into something visually stunning.
As his creative essence flows Stephen is also a lover of modern abstract art and enjoys the harmony of balancing colour. Layering textures to formalise his work , create a visual sense of light and colour continuity.
Stephen does not produce prints or reproductions so all of his paintings are one-of-a-kind original artworks.
Any questions in regards to art or custom commissions he is more than happy to assist.
