I have been creating fine art photographs for many years, even as a child I recall being fascinated viewing the world upside down through the viewfinder of my grandfathers ancient 6 x 6. Since that time photography has always been a part of my life, but it was in the late 90's on my first trip to Australia that the art of photography took on a new meaning. Learning the art of long exposure photography using film cameras gave me a sense of photographic direction, particularly being inspired by the works of Kenna and others. I continue to create long exposure works (now using digital equipment) and also exploring a growing love of blur and minimalism using pinhole lenses or a variety of plastic optics to hopefully create something that is beyond reality and into a world of dreams and escape.
My work has been awarded in several internationally recognised competitions before I stopped entering them a few years ago, my stock imagery has appeared on multiple internally published novels and I also continue to create fine art works for sale here on Bluethumb and printed to order by the Sunshine Coast's premiere Fine Art printer.
I am originally from Central England, but along with my partner we moved to Wellington New Zealand after the millennium, before arriving at beautiful Noosa QLD in 2014.
