Stella Kypriotis is a contemporary realist artist based in South West Sydney Australia. Her love for nature is an inspiration in her paintings. She paints mainly with oils and at times acrylics on stretched canvas or wooden panel depending on the subject. Even when Stella hasn't the chance to paint, you will find her with a pencil in her hand, drawing anything to try to replicate the subject.
Stella loves painting Australian subjects such as wildlife, nature, florals, pet portraits, still life and landscapes and makes every effort to paint every day.
She also loves painting outdoors (en-plein-air)being original and authentic is her goal. Stella is always fascinated by how an ordinary subject can look extraordinary by the way the sunlight hits the subject, and then she strives to make the painting pop in her artwork so that it captures the viewers attention.
Some artists are drawn to their craft, but in Stella Kypriotis' case, art seems to have chosen her. From the first moment she held a brush she became fascinated by how a painting could bring such emotion and feeling to the subject, so in her later years she began experimenting with different mediums, and even took up lots of art classes in person, online classes, workshops, portrait workshops and lessons to help further her career. Some of her favourite artists are Richard Schmid, Andrew Tischler, Vladimir Volegov, Claude Monet to name a few.
To this day, painting remains Stellas happy place, and she hopes her buyer loves her paintings as much as she does. If you would like to ask her any questions in regards to her work please do not hesitate to contact her. Thank you!
