This composite photographic image is one of many from the The Un-Scenes Project. All elements in the image have been photographed by myself over the years and compiled in photoshop to create a new slightly surreal environment for the subject, generally somewhere you wouldn't expect to find it, an un-scene if you like. All images belong to a 3 part themed series in a 16:9 format, have a white border and include a certificate which tells the story and inspiration behind each image.
The title of the print is located bottom centre of white border which can either be included or not when framing.
Each print has a digital signature bottom corner of the image.
This image is one of three from "Aussie Shacks on a Hill" series.
Inspiration for these ones came from the sheds themselves. I wanted them to stand out on their own, flaws and all. A classic of most rural Australian properties is the humble shed. They have weathered storms, sheltered farm animals, and housed an eclectic mix of treasured belongings for years on end.
Where would we be without “the shed”. “Put it in the shed, we might need it one day”…words muttered by just about every household.
Background images are all from Nerada, QLD.
Loo with a View
There’s no door on the other side of this loo, no need for one. You can sit here and ponder a million things looking out over the mountains and valley below, or if you have to visit at night, sit back and watch the shooting stars in the pitch black sky. No light pollution, or any pollution for that matter, here.
Sourced from Skippers Canyon, NZ, this rustic shack used to be a miners cottage. The loo, was and still is a toilet on site at the historical museum in Herberton, QLD.
The old car body is from Irvanebank, QLD.
