This composite photographic image is one of many from the The Un-Scenes Project. All elements in the image have been photographed by myself over the years and compiled in photoshop to create a new slightly surreal environment for the subject, generally somewhere you wouldn't expect to find it, an un-scene if you like. All images belong to a 3 part themed series in a 16:9 format and include a certificate which tells the story and inspiration behind each image.
The print has a white border with image name printed bottom centre and signature bottom right hand side on the white border, so you have the option of framing to include or crop this out.
This image is one of three from the Un-Real Estate Series – Grassy Knoll Edition.
This series was inspired by the architecture itself. All parts of these buildings are from Maryborough and one from Charters Towers, QLD. These buildings do not exist in reality, they are made from a combination of buildings to show the eclectic mix of Australian architecture.
All feature a gentle grassy hill from Yorkeys Knob beach dunes, QLD, and a dramatic sky from an impending snowstorm from Furano, Japan. The seabirds and palms are from Cairns.
Once a place of dodgy dealings, this building is enjoying its retirement on a breezy coastal hill. On weekends it hosts a mix of gambling nights, host a murder dinner parties, and other raucous entertainment. Come Monday, the parties are over and it once again settles down for a long sleepy week, re-joined by the nesting jabirus.
