Roslyn grew up in western NSW and developed a deep love and affiliation for the Australian bush, the landscapes and the wildlife. She moved to Canberra to study and work, married and raised four children. She studied art with local artists at Strathnairn, Canberra School of Art and Lake Ginninderra College but a corporate life of technology and business and dedication to raising a family got in the way. Now retired from corporate life the joy of returning to her creative passion is exciting and she is exploring new approaches and mediums in her work which is evocative of the beauty of the world around us. She is inspired by the incredible diversity of Australia and travels with her husband to many of the most remote areas. She seeks to have her work inspire others to get out and explore.
Roslyn's current exhibition, "Shimmer", evokes the inland, the rising thermals, rippling heat, reflections on water, vaporising lakes, mirages on the plains.
