Rosalind Devine was born in Japan and grew up in Sydney. She likes the fifties, googie, and maps,. She does traditional portraits and has a lot of different styles.
She studied art the School of Visual Art in New York and the Chicago Art Institute . While studying, she worked as a research assistant for an art critic in Soho.and at the Metropolitan Museum of Art.
Her work is in private collections in Sydney and New York and she was a finalist in the Portia Geach Memorial Award. She worked as an artist at Walt Disney and took a hiatus to look after her family, but is excited to be painting again.
She enjoys funny cult movies. Her favourites include; Escape from New York, where Isaac Hayes has chandeliers on his car, Tremors with Kevin Bacon pole vaulting over the giant worms and Iโm gonna get you Sucka with the gold fish platform shoes. Her favourite is the Thing with Kurt Russell.
