"Route 66" by Rochelle Toomey
Original watercolour painting - (unframed)
This piece was inspired by our throwaway world and how products and brands can be around for only a short time. The irony is the elderly man walking past a closed down and dilapidated store with his newly purchased item from the tried and true Route 66 shop.
The artist often takes inspiration from architecture, nature and landscapes that take the viewer on a journey and bring feelings of warmth and contentment.
This piece was painted by the artist using professional grade paints on Arches cold pressed 300 gsm watercolour paper. The artist only uses light-fast supplies of the highest standard to ensure the piece retains its vibrancy and quality.
