Growing up in Adelaide i moved to Canada to work as a nanny in my early 20s where i studied interior design. Drawn to colour and texture but not so much the draftingI returned to Australia and moved to Sydney to study makeup. After 9 years working in fashion and advertising as a hair and makeup artist it was time to move to Europe, where i continued to live and work for 18 years. Painting was a much loved hobby which i hoped i would one day find more time for. It felt like true artistic freedom. Moving to London to be a beauty editor allowed more creative input, but not the freedom. Eventually moving back to Adelaide i could start to use my surroundings as inspiration! The sea, the sand and the colours of Australia, and our light. How i had missed the light. Now, i try to capture the light and the shadows, reflections and play. As a self taught artist, with still a long way to go i hope to evolve into a great artist one day. In the meantime im just loving the light.
