Growing up in Sydney, Pam Taylor's art career began when young as a Commercial Artist concentrating on illustration and finished artwork ready to print in magazines, newspapers and catalogues for use in advertising, at various studios/agencies in Sydney city.
Some years later she returned full time as an artist and art tutor, eventually moving to Noosa in 2000 and embarked on tertiary art education at Tafe and University studying Diploma Visual Art, finishing with Bachelor of Visual Art.
Pam works mainly in acrylic on canvas in bright bold colour, inspired by her surroundings in contemporary style Still Life, and painting travel experiences in her Urban Landscapes, using past photos as reference, reigniting the visual memories.
Whilst at University she embraced Linocut Printmaking techniques, eventually introducing these patterns into her paintings.
Pam participates in solo and group exhibitions, art prizes and tutoring classes locally in acrylic techniques. She is always experimenting with techniques to pursue in new styles and researching for new inspiration.
