‘By the Moonlit Pond’ is a celebration of the natural world at night. The pond near my home seems to come alive in the evening. white petals take on a sheen that only the moonlight brings, and the flower stems overlay like spiderwebs. The insects dance and chirp as the light spreads like tiny diamonds across the surface of the water. It's a magical time, a time of subtle and natural elegance. I've used the age-old sun sensitive process of cyanotype to create the reeds and fern fronds in the background, then overpainted in acrylic paint to form the foliage and flowers. - Naomi
