My genre is mainly Still Life; "landscapes on a table" I call them. There is a narrative present on the table. I invite the viewer to explore the space and engage with the objects on the table. I find beauty in simplicity, objects that I have picked up along the way from garage sales and antique shops. My works seek and highlight simple objects, presenting them in everyday settings; a collection of objects that would have gone unnoticed thus become the subject for observation. I strive within my work not simply to reflect reality or to hold a mirror to the objects on the table but instead to create a fresh approach to the way that we look at our world around us. I am still continuing to develop along this journey, the objects on the table are becoming flatter, still touching their objectivity, but barely just and my studies continue in color, form, and space
