My name is Kristy. I currently reside on the East Coast of Australia in Brisbane. As an artist with no formal art training I began my art journey in watercolours while at home with my first child.
It wasn’t until 2013 that I really began to take my art seriously and enrolled into some workshops and weekly tutoring. Through different techniques and mediums I discovered an affinity with acrylics and haven’t looked back. You will notice that animals and birds (particularly rainbow lorikeets) are my passion and I have recently added some humour into my work along with the bright colours.
I have participated in numerous local group exhibitions, won a couple of People’s Choice awards and sold numerous works of art. I have donated to charities, school auctions, raffles and a few commissions.
Since 2015 my art has opened up opportunities for teaching workshops and as an Artist in Residence at a Primary School which I love. It allows me to show everything I have learned over the years and give back to the children. I hope my art continues to brighten up my life as well as others. Kristy :)
