This is the second time I've painted this art deco house in Sans Souci. P&O style being a subset of art deco inspired by luxury cruise liners of the time. Elements such as curved facades, port hole windows and rail balustrades being features. I've also added the most art deco of dogs - a greyhound. Stylistic painting influences would be Edward Hopper and Fairfield Porter.

I have an affinity for capturing moments from places I have been lucky enough to travel to. Often developing paintings from plein air sketches I have done in the field. Whilst I enjoy contemporary realism and impressionism I will sometimes stray into the realm of pure abstraction. Convincing portrayals of light and colour are usually my main goals. Subject matter can range from the grand to the mundane and quirky.
