ICM (Intentional Camera Movement) photograph of the world-famous Sydney Opera House, NSW. A second ICM exposure of native flowers from the nearby Royal Botanic Gardens runs through the middle, creating a dramatic and iconic image.
About ICM: Intentional Camera Movement allows the camera to be freely moved during exposure, much like a painter would use a brush, allowing for a highly abstract, painterly image. Often multiple exposures are laid atop one another to enhance and build the image. In a sense, ICM images are an exploration of time itself, where a single image represents not only the movement of the lens and camera, but the passing of a moment in time. Unexpected details and unique shifts in colour are the result.
