Jahne Meyer is a mathematician and artist based in the Central Coast and Blue Mountains, NSW. She has shown her work in solo and group exhibitions throughout NSW, as well as collaborating with businesses and designers in various projects that feature her illustrations. Her artist mother opened up the world of art to her and she has been painting and drawing since a young age. Her parents have delightfully kept every sketch, drawing, painting, cartoon that she has created since she was 3 years old.
But her passion for other endeavours has taken her to various other places as well. She has a Honours degree and research in Pure Mathematics as well as a couple of businesses. She is also part of a blues music duo, playing the viola. Her mathematics plays a big role in her current collection of artwork, through the mathematical geometry that is featured within the pieces.
She always had a yearning live amongst natural locations have the beautiful Australian bush at her fingertips. Now her days are filled with painting and drawing or itching to get back to her little studio to do just that.
