This is an original, one off, large colourful abstract painting on canvas ready to hang on your beautiful wall.
***************
I have reduced the price of this painting due to the effect of Corona Virus on the world economy and my income. I am hoping it helps some buyers to beautify their homes in this current situation and be able to support a sole trader - artist (that's me), at the same time.
Prices will return to normal when the world does.

The Buddhists enigmatically say 'It always rains when the Buddha comes to town'. The gentle flow of paint and water in bright, clear colour, this painting hopes to bring happiness and joy to all.
This gentle painting allows you to immerse yourself in the mesmerising flow of water and creation. It is inspired by undercurrents and drifts in the creative waters of all existence. Cell life, water, rain and universal forces that peacefully fuse and float together.
Originally this series came about by a Leonardo daVinci drawing of 'The Deluge' to which I have been obsessed and inspired by for years. I admit my painting is not terribly much akin to the beautiful daVinci except in the idea of the downpour, the storm, the flood, the outpouring of energies and the raw forces of Nature. The fluidity of the paint naturally lends itself to the pour, the flow, the wash, and the cascade, the soaking. Me; I am thinking about ideas of immersion, flood and re-emergent energies after the rain. Water washing away the dirt of life, the cleansing, nurturing growth and renewal. To me it talks of ice melts, sea drifts, ebbs and flows, the rain, the storms. The tranquillity of flowing water, invisible under currents, drifts, ebbs and flows. I find these things beautiful and soothing just like creating art.
Water as a subject, context and formal element seems to often find its way back into my artwork. It reveals my passionate love of the sea and all things briny particularly the influence of the locale where I grew up - overlooking Bass Strait from a hilltop farm at Flinders. The constant movement of water. The life giving nature of water and the fragility of waters of life. The storms above and below the surface. The colour formations reflected across the water. Powerful under currents, drifts, ebbs and flows. Patterns on a microscopic and macroscopic scale. I find all these things meditative and worthy of contemplation.
What I also enjoy about my paintings is they make people smile with a sense of wonderment and feelings of happiness as well as giving their walls style and finesse with a splash of colour for years to come.
