This is an original colourful abstract painting on canvas ready to hang on your beautiful wall.
***************
I have reduced the price of this painting due to the effect of Corona Virus on the world economy and my income. I am hoping it helps some buyers to beautify their homes in this current situation and be able to support a sole trader - artist (that's me), at the same time.
Prices will return to normal when the world does.

The artwork continues on my theme of the beauty of microscopic worlds and has a brilliant glowing colour vibration. Some of my favourite colour combinations here. Stunning and energetic.
The big. The tiny. The sea. The body. The microscopic.
These are just some of the things I think about and look at when I create paintings.
But with this Painting ‘Bio Bloom VI’ there is a shift in my usual all over patterning with cell forms and method of working. It does continue with my fascination in the sublime of micro-worlds, biology and exploring the most miniscule fragments of the universe. But it delves into exploring the building blocks of life on a more insular cellular level.
I like that there is drama and tension created by darks and lights in this painting. It is reminiscent of the X-rays paintings and drawings I used to do at Art School so many moons ago. Now I revisit this drama with a drama of my own. During the preparation for my exhibition (held in May 2018) I had surgery on my spine and continuing issues with my back. I mention this as it produced a shift in my thoughts, mindset and methods and the ensuing artworks. Art reflects life, right!
I started to explore deeper into the cellular level. This was one of the many paintings when I started to look at singular cells, highlighting and enlarging this little organ as a separate entity. This one is a little different from the others in the series in its more vivid colouring and visually somewhere between a supernova, floral blooms and a minuscule cell made large. With all the paintings in the series I just went with the flow and allowed them to be.
There is a beautiful ethereal, otherworldly feel to this ongoing series, which I am a sucker for. The aim to create something universal, sublime and beautiful remains and I still wish for the paintings to possess feelings of fragility and tranquillity as I see these things as universally significant to art and our wellbeing.
These shapes kind of blast across the painting surface like fireworks or a Supernovas and this is what people have reacted about too. I love the many responses I have had and especially that viewers are bringing the paintings into the realm of the universe and space as well as the miniscule. There is still a sense of wonder and joy but the interpretations have shifted slightly.
This is one pairs well with the other paintings from this series…Check out my profile for other listings of the 'Bio Blooms'.
What I enjoy most about my paintings is they make people smile with a sense of wonderment and feelings of happiness as well as giving their walls finesse and with a splash of colour for years to come.
