Go down the street, take a left, and you’ll find Nobody’s Home.
From painting with my Grandmother to looking up at the paintings on my Aunt’s wall, painting has always been part of my life.
Hand painted in Melbourne, Nobody’s Home is born from a lifetime of creativity. Created by artist Hannah Schmidt-Rees, I specialise in acrylic paint, each work focuses on reinventing the everyday facets of life. Surrealist ideas with a hyper-realistic style represents the everyday, bringing attention to those moments often forgotten in the monotony of life. Exploring colour and monochromatic colour palettes, everyday scenes are reworked with a deep meaning.
Being awarded the Winmalee Blue Senior Medal for Visual Arts & Photography, presented by a NSW Government Representative and selected as a student for the Dobell Drawing Program at the National Art School, my work is mostly self-taught with a few lessons along the way.
With original artworks available, you can find a piece of art that you can take from my home to yours.
