In the studio of Glenn Miller, vibrant explorations of form, texture and memory come to life. He is an Australian artist whose work focuses on the timeless allure of the female nude. His works often feature bold colors and intuitive mark-making to evoke a sense of emotional depth and dynamic movement.
He was born in country Queensland and now lives in the upper Noosa hinterland, where he immerses himself in working with oils and acrylics on canvas in the solitude of his studio. He has twice won the Bundaberg City Council Art Award and has been a finalist in several major art awards, including the Glover Landscape Prize in 2012, the Norville Landscape Prize in 2010 and 2014, as well as a semi-finalist in the Doug Moran National Portrait Prize in 2013 and 2015. He has participated in group and solo shows in Brisbane, Sydney, Melbourne, Adelaide, New York, and Paris. His works are held in private, public, and corporate art collections in Australia and overseas, including the Bundaberg Regional Art Gallery, Perpetual Trustees in Sydney, Monte Dei Paschi Bank in Sydney, Hartwyk Slowinski in Newark, USA; a large canvas titled 'Christmas Eve' is now held in a private collection in Melbourne, after formerly hanging at the Crown Casino.
'I create compositions that evoke a sense of timeless mystery, inviting viewers to engage with the subtle interplay of past and present."
