The full title of this building is the William Tell Rest House in Melbourne's Royal Botanical Gardens. This is part of my 'Seclusion' series.
Geoff Harrison 49 artworks | 3 Sold Follow Contact Geoff Painting for me is a journey of inner discovery and I’m constantly pushing myself to the limit to achieve this. It’s always about the light, with the viewer being enticed to enter these scenes and explore the atmosphere in them. Cool colours are preferred as they create a sense of depth in the work. At the moment my paintings cover 3 themes; Expanse – where I depict vast open spaces. I enjoy the challenge of creating depth. Seclusion – here I explore the consoling and recuperative powers of Melbourne’s Royal Botanical Gardens. Interiors - the psychology of interior spaces. I prefer working with oils as I enjoy the texture and illusionistic qualities of that medium.
