Thanks so much for taking a look at my portfolio of paintings!
This new series of works, 'Quiet' have been created on raw canvas with acrylic paints. Combining my love of textiles and working with paint, this series explores the use of raw canvas and thinned down acrylic paints which soak into the canvas creating soft shapes and washes of colour. I adore the thought of the paint and the fabric becoming one. For me It's like the ultimate union of textile design and art.
PLEASE NOTE: This is an unstretched / raw canvas. You will need to choose 'Canvas Stretching' before adding it to your cart if you would like this painting to be stretched over an internal frame BlueThumb will arrange it all and your painting will be delivered, stretched and ready to be hung on your wall. Or alternatively you can take the unstretched canvas to your preferred framer. The base fabric is a cream / off white colour - the colour you would imagine traditional canvas to be - unlike the white gesso base you find on most primed art works.
Dimensions:
*Approx 105 cm W x 81 cm H once STRETCHED - If you choose stretching, the final size of your ready to hang painting will be approximately 105cm W x 81cm H .
The artwork has been finished with a satin varnish with UV Protection . The Art work will also be signed on the back with 'Ellen McKenna' and a Certificate of Authenticity will be included.
Please don't hesitate to ask the Blue Thumb Team (they are lovely and helpful) or myself any questions you may have about this painting!
