My process is simple. I'm a tonal painter. My inspiration is the Australian bush, country towns, people, objects and places where I can just spend time and feel free. My paintings are bold and full of light.My paintings don’t happen by accident, and they are not born in the studio. They are built on years of observing, designing, painting and exhibiting. Inspiration usually comes from looking carefully at things that are very familiar to me and noticing something transient and unexpected. The Australian bush, country towns, people, objects and places where I can just spend time and feel free. Along the way I have developed some skills to express something of these experiences in paint.
