Painted 12 years ago during art school, this artwork the single surviving work of a series that explored connection to place through romance, nostalgia and the glorification of landscape and how these ideas are grounded and muted, at constant odds with memory and the rational mind.
This work is the surviving canvas of a triptych depicting the wild country of the Waterfall Valley, which connects Tasmania's famous Cradle Mountain to its sister peak Barn Bluff.
