I'm an emerging artist from Sydney. My work is aesthetically influenced by my local environment - the Blue Mountains and Nepean River in NSW - although I do like to explore other environments. I am particularly interested in colour and patterns in nature and subject matter of the native flora and fauna. All my artworks have elements of aboriginal art symbols incorporated into the pattern or standing alone in each piece. Conceptually I am interested in history and memory and the remnants, scars and unseen traces left in spaces. My aim is to produce artworks that are vibrant and have an aesthetic beauty but are underpinned with ambiguous meaning and stories of the past. Historical stories or peoples personal stories - I love the idea that past and present are inherently connected. My Aboriginal heritage is connected to Wiradjuri Country "the land of the three rivers" and the Tubba-gah people central NSW Dubbo .
