I have always been keen to hone my creativity in a variety of mediums. Throughout primary and secondary school, art was a favoured subject, be it carving out a timber or stone sculpture, printing with lino cuts, tie dyeing cloth (oh that beautiful smell of melting wax on the stove top) and figurative and abstract acrylic art forms.
Post-secondary school studies in architectural drafting, interior design, ceramics and a later in life B. Arts majoring in Anthropology, has strengthened my view that learning is a constant in life. Exploring different media encourages me to search for the similarity in people and life, rather than difference.
I am a student at The Royal Art Society in Sydney and enjoy working in various mediums including oil, acrylic, watercolour, pastel and charcoal.
Inspiration for me, can be gathered from all walks of life; however, Claude Monet's landscapes and John Singer Sargentโs portraits are a constant inspiration for my evolving art practice.
