My work is continually referencing back to the beautiful Eucalypt form. I'm entranced by the simple pairing of leaves on the branch, and how they mimic butterflies in the wind. As I explore these forms, they become increasingly abstracted and I am compelled to balance the refined form with a less refined substrate.
I had a real sense in creating these three pieces (EUCALYPT ASPECTS 1, 2 and 3) that it's the elements in life, that less refined substrate (the mess we cover up) that contributes to the beauty of the overall, our everyday existence.
It’s my hope that in taking these pieces in, that they will remind you of the overall beauty in life’s everyday mess. 🧡
This piece works in both portrait and landscape formats. It is unsigned as yet, but will be signed before despatch once buyer confirms preferred orientation.
