Last lockdown ( I canβt believe that is now such a casual term as a Melbournian) I stopped by the flower tent to pick up something to inspire a painting on the way home. Leonardis roses fit the bill with their beautiful colour shift and rusty reds. I think I spent longer on the stripes for the cloth than anything. The work is highly textured because of the use of cold wax medium with a matt finish. Prints available on request
