This work is part of a collection developed from my art tour around Australia. Broome was an unexpected delight on the Northern coast of Western Australia. It is also none for it's spectacular sunsets and camel rides on Cable Beach. I spent several pleasant evenings with a glass of wine, some cheese and my drawing books. Camels move fast in a slow kind of way so it was tricky. I was taken with the elongated shadows and the tranquility of the balmy evenings. I find with this painting out of the corner of my eye -the camels move. This is worked from and acrylic and graphite base then cold wax medium with oil.
