'Ichor' - Limited Edition 1 of 1.
'Ichor' is an abstract aerial photograph from a Pink Lake located just outside Meninge, South Australia.
Pink lakes are a natural phenomenon caused by high salinity levels, and depending on the time of year the colours vary. This aerial photograph came from the far side of the lake along the water's edge. I was captured by this striking red splash of colour against the grey clays that surround the lake.
You maybe wondering where the word Ichor comes from... In Greek mythology, ichor is the ethereal fluid that is the blood of the gods and/or immortals... which I felt was appropriate for this abstract photographic artwork.
I will be visiting Robe and passing the Pink Lake during the year, I look forward to seeing what I capture then... you just never know!
Cheers, and safe travels π Ash.
