I love to incorporate glass in my paintings; my favourite subject. In this piece, created using thick brush strokes and a palette knife, the translucent reflections and refraction of light on the glass vase have been given depth by the pallet knife texture. This painting is created using acrylics on stretched canvas. The subject is a beautiful bouquet of blushing pink Champagne roses from my autumn garden. These roses were the final offering of my beautiful rose bush. I cut these roses just before the petals fell creating a soft open posie. This painting features a blush of pink contrasted by a fresh daintree green. The perfect painting for your living room or bedroom with its soft subtle hues.
