The Tasmanian endemic Cushion Plant, Asteraceae, grows as a community of flora, bundled together to embrace the cold alpine air. With greater visitor numbers to Tasmania’s National Parks, more people are able to appreciate our divine natural offerings. We welcome those near and far, but even with the presence of signage, there are those who overlook the fragility of these incredibly slow growing cushion communities. When we step foot into these pristine places, we should remember to keep our wandering and social media snapping respectful, without trampling, or much footprint at all.
