This is a raw, fast, palette knife sketch focusing on conveying emotion through light and dynamic slashes of thick flesh-toned paint. I deliberately left the blue sketch lines and loads of background colour throughout the figure to keep it raw.

He was initially influenced by Spontaneous Realism, graffiti and street art, and the layered palette knife work of artists such as Joshua Miels and Francoise Nielly. Most recently he is heavily influenced by Andrew Salgado. His works are most often large format and are characterised by bold colours, emotional raw brush strokes and extensive layering.
