Painting for me doesn’t always feel like a choice, more like a necessity. For as long as I can remember, I have always been an artist at heart, even when life has taken me in other directions.
Originally from Scotland, I moved to Bermuda in 2004 where I started entering my work in local exhibitions. From there, I decided to further my training and moved to London to study portraiture at The Heatherley’s school of art in Chelsea.
In 2013 I moved to Brisbane but having children put my life on hold for a while. I’m managing to make more time for my painting and look at it as my form of self care. My inspiration comes from my surroundings and life experiences, and my work is becoming more expressive throughout my journey.
People and animals have always been my passion.
